Traffic was slowed in both directions on Highway 61 after a car and truck crashed just west of Interstate 280 in Scott County.
The wreck was reported just after 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014, on Highway 61 at Y48, between Davenport and Blue Grass.
A large utility truck and passenger car were involved. Police said there was one occupant in each vehicle at the time of the wreck.
The car sustained heavy damage to the driver’s side; the truck’s front bumper was visibly damaged.
The driver of the car was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Police periodically blocked the road as they investigated the crash and worked to clear the scene.
Police said they expected to have all lanes of Highway 61 reopened to traffic by about 12:30 p.m.
