Man dies two weeks after Silvis motorcycle crash

A man has died nearly two weeks after he and his son were involved in a motorcycle crash.

On Thursday, August 21, 2014, Tim Hay, 51, and his 7-year-old son Nathan were hospitalized after their motorcycle skidded on wet pavement at a Silvis intersection. Police said neither were wearing helmets.

Tim Hay, whose 52nd birthday was Monday September 1st, remained in critical condition after undergoing surgeries.   A spokesperson from the Silvis Police Department said he died from his injuries on Tuesday, September 2.
