Area man honored for decades of service on levee commission

A tribute to community service was made along the Davenport riverfront.

Mayor Bill Gluba honored Alan “Doc” Hathaway Tuesday, September 2, 2014 for his service on the Levee Improvement Commission.

At the ceremony, a special plaque in his honor was unveiled at Sculpture Park. Hathaway served on the commission for 38 years.
