Bruce Rauner is making the rounds.

On Saturday, August 30th, 2014, the Republican Candidate for Governor spent some time at the Knox County GOP Headquarters in Galesburg, Illinois and at City Limits Saloon and Grill in Rock Island.

Rauner says Rock Island County is "critically important" to Illinois. He says one of the things he wants do if he wins the General Election against Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is reduce real estate taxes in the area and increase state support for schools.

He also had a message for voters during his visit:

"This is what I want to tell all your listeners and viewers out there - get out and vote. This election matters and every vote matters. This election is going to be very close, very tough."

The General Election is November 4th, 2014.
