Two people are in the hospital after a motorcycle crash Friday night.

According to the Bettendorf Police Department, it happened at 9:45pm on Friday, August 29th, 2014 in the 6900 block of Valley Drive.

Investigators say 24-year-old David Ramon Duncan from Davenport was riding west on Valley Drive when he "lost control for an unknown reason and entered the north ditch," according to a press release.

"During the crash the operator of the motorcycle and a female passenger became separated from the motorcycle and came to final rest in the north ditch of Valley Drive."

A statement from the City of Bettendorf said the "female passenger" is 27-year-old Jessica Brook Marilyn Sewell from Burlington, Iowa.

Investigators say both people suffered multiple injuries and were transported to an area hopsital by ambulance. The woman was eventually transported to another hospital by Med-Force Air Ambulance. No word on her condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
