Police seek information after Davenport man is shot

Police are reaching out to the public for information after a Davenport man suffered a gunshot wound.

Around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, officers were called to the 2300 block of Redwood Avenue with a report of shots fired, according to Assistant Chief of Police Don Schaeffer.

Schaeffer said upon arrival, police found 19-year-old Marcel Kirk, who had suffered one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

“Detectives are following up on all leads and tips,” Schaeffer said.
