The search began for a new president and CEO after Mary Ellen Chamberlin announced she will retire from the Riverboat Development Authority at the end of 2014.

Chamberlin served on the RDA since it was founded in 1989.  She became a paid president of the organization in 1998.

The RDA is the non-profit organization which holds Scott County’s gambling license for Rhythm City Casino, as required by Iowa law.

Chamberlin announced her intention to retire at the annual RDA meeting in June 2014.

The RDA official opened its search for a new president/CEO on Sunday, August 24 and planned to accept resumes from candidates until September 7, 2014.  Resumes may be submitted to the RDA’s executive search team at resmerda2014@gmail.com.

The board planned to vote on a candidate at a specially-convened meeting in the fall.
