The driver of a vehicle that went off the road on I-74 south of Woodhull has died.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, Illinois State Police said a truck tractor went off the right side of the roadway near mile marker 37 and traveled into the ditch and rolled at around 4:30 p.m.

A statement from the Illinois State Police said the driver was the only one inside the truck and was seriously injured. He was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Westbound traffic was stopped for about twenty minutes and the right lane stayed closed for about two hours.

Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
