The crew of "Good Morning Quad Cities" had an admittedly "lame" response to the ice bucket challenge being made by groups raising money for ALS research.
Jason Fechner, Denise Hnytka, and James Zahara challenged the morning crew to getting a bucket of ice water dumped on them.
"We had no time to prepare," said morning news anchor Julie Sisk who was wearing nice work clothes at the time.
"It's a great cause and we want to do our part," she added.
"I am not very excited about getting doused, but I think we got the point across," said anchor Jim Mertens, whose clothing was less nice than Sisk's.
"It's the most moisture we've seen in the area for quiet some time," said morning meteorologist Eric Sorensen who keeps tabs on things like that.
Earlier in the say, Dispatch-Rock Island Argus columnist John Marx also got doused by Mertens to help raise awareness for ALS.
