District 8 State Representative Henry Rayhons was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a mentally incapacitated woman.

The alleged abuse happened after Rayhons was told in May 2014 that the victim “did not have the cognitive ability to give consent to any sexual activity,” according to an affidavit filed with the court.  Rayhons allegedly had sex with the victim about a week later at the care facility where the victim was a patient.

Rayhons was arrested Friday, August 15, 2014.

He was held in the Hancock County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash-only bond.
