Residents in Davenport and Moline say their cars were shot at late Sunday evening, August 10, 2014.

“I’m very concerned about our neighborhood now,” she said, as she explained similar instances have been happening to her neighbors in the last three weeks.

Another car shooting happened across the river in Davenport. Residents near Locust and Vine Streets said two vehicles on the street were shot at.

Davenport Police confirmed receiving 911 calls about the sound of shots heard in the area of 17th and Vine just before 9:30 p.m.

The owner of one damaged car said he had been inside his home when he heard “pops,” looked out the window and saw someone running away.  His car sustained a bullet to the frame in the back of the vehicle, and both the front and back windshields were shot. Another car on the street had a bullet hole in the trunk.
