Two women faced criminal charges after a fight that left them both injured in LeClaire, Iowa.

Police said 30-year-old Christina Wright and 33-year-old Kristen Huber were involved in an altercation near the intersection of Wisconsin Street and Cody Road around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014.

Christina Wright had visible injuries to her face and ankle when police arrived, according to LeClaire Police Chief Shane Themas.  As police spoke with Wright, medics were sent to a home in LeClaire to treat Huber for cuts to her head, arm and torso.

Investigators said the women had “mutually initiated” the fight, and that Wright used a pocket knife during the altercation.

Both women were arrested.

Huber was charged with one misdemeanor count of assault with injury.  Jail records showed she spent 27 minutes in the Scott County Jail before her $1,000 bond was posted and she was released.

Wright was charged with felony willful injury.  She was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Christina has defensive mark all over her body, she has a concussion, black eye lumps all over her head, cuts and scratch’s down her whole body, as well as ankle injuries. She was clearly defending herself but just the woman who attacked her get a $100 bond while Christina has a $1000 bond and still sits behind bars for defending herself!
