Funeral set for preschooler who died after being hit by a car

Memorial services were set for a Rock Island preschooler who died of injuries she suffered when she was struck by a car.

Maddi Boultinghouse was with her mother when she was hit by a westbound vehicle, police said, as they crossed 31st Avenue in Rock Island around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Maddi died Sunday, August 3 at a hospital in Peoria.

Maddi attended preschool at Jordan Catholic School.

A Christian wake service was set for 4 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home in Rock Island, Illinois according to an online obituary. Visitation was set for that same date from 4 to 8 p.m.

Maddi’s funeral was set for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island.
