A Moline couple is facing charges following the death of their four-month-old baby.

The baby, Anterio Schlieper, was reportedly found not breathing in their home on June 10, 2014. His parents, Terri Wells and Anthony Schlieper have been accused of going to bed under the influence and rolling over onto him, according to the Rock Island County Coroner, Brian Gustafson.

The act of falling asleep with a baby is what KidsHealth, a website associated with a children's health organization, refers to as co-sleeping.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns parents against co-sleeping. The commission reported that at least 515 deaths were linked to co-sleeping incidents from 1990 - 1997; more than 120 of those deaths were blamed on someone else rolling on top of the baby while sleeping.

Wells and Schlieper were both held in the Rock Island County Jail and later released on their own recognizance. They were scheduled to appear in Rock Island County Court August 12.
