After finishing with a runner-up trophy last year the Assumption Knights wanted to bring home the top prize this season. Assumption beat Dallas Center Grimes for the 3A State Champion with a 1-0 win. Jay Campbell worked out of several jams to keep the Mustangs off the board. In the 7th Assumption would put a runner on second, then Zach Adrian's single to left scored Sam Bennett for the winning run. It's the 9th baseball championship Assumption has won in school history.
