Country Music Star Alan Jackson is back in the Quad Cities Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Mississippi Valley Fair.
Jackson played at the fair back on August 1, 2008. That day, 31,000 people attended the show. It was one of the largest crowds in the grandstand’s history. Fair General Manager Bob Fox remembers that day very well.
“I remember the show being from the way he writes his songs too,” Fox said. “He also had screens up that showed him as a little boy with his mother and father and his family as a child, and actually it was pretty emotional, and if you were watching it, you were into that song.”
Fox takes the grandstand at 8 p.m. Saturday. Friday though, the rock band Cheap Trick takes the stage. To see more of our coverage of the Mississippi Valley Fair, click here.
