Iowa shoppers free from sales tax for two days

For two days, shoppers in Iowa will be free from sales tax when they buy certain clothing items.

Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2, 2014 is the Iowa Sales Tax Holiday and shoppers will find that some clothing and footwear items will not be taxed.

The annual event applies to individual items that cost less than $100. The tax holiday event does not include things like jewelry, umbrellas, handkerchiefs, sporting equipment, protective wear, and more.
