Second shooting reported in same week in Clinton

For the second time in a six days, someone was reportedly shot in Clinton, Iowa.

A 22-year-old woman was reportedly shot in the arm in an incident that was reported just after midnight Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Miller Ridge Apartments in the 2600 block of N. 4th Street.   Police said her injury was serious but not life-threatening.

Five days later, a shooting was reported just after 12:30 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at an apartment in the 100 block of 5th Avenue South.  Police said a 32-year-old man was shot; he was only able to describe the suspects as three black men who fled the building after the shooting.  The victim was hospitalized for his injuries.

Police did not report any arrests made in either case.
