Two men faced federal charges in connection with the heroin overdose death of a woman from Bettendorf, Iowa.
The woman, whose name was not released, was found dead in her home December 16, 2013 according to U.S. Attorney Jim Lewis.
A federal grand jury indicted Steven Waldrip, 47, of Rock Island, Illinois, for one count of distributing heroin resulting in death, and three counts of distributing heroin.
Waldrip made his initial appearance in federal court Thursday, July 24, 2014, Lewis said.
A federal grand jury separately indicted 24-year-old Kyle Joseph Wilson in April 2014, charging him with one count of distribution of heroin resulting in death. Wilson was arrested in May, and scheduled to go to trial in September 2014, Lewis said.
Both men remained in jail.
