A series of road closures to accommodate Bix 7 activities could make it tough to get around part of downtown Davenport, Iowa.

Access to downtown businesses, including the Blackhawk Hotel, will be limited.

City officials expected to close 2nd Street between Ripley and Pershing, as well as some access to 2nd Street at Harrison and at Main, starting at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014.  That closure was expected to remain in place until noon Sunday, July 27.

By Thursday evening, Main Street north of 2nd Street to north of 3rd Street was also to be closed.  Drive-up customers would still be able to access U.S. Bank for a limited time Thursday afternoon.

Additional road closures would follow on Friday, July 25, blocking downtown access from the east on 3rd and 4th streets, as well as closing Iowa and LeClaire streets between 2nd and 4th streets.  That same day, they'll close 3rd Street from Pershing to Brady.  Later that same evening, 3rd Street was set to close from Brady to Harrison, and Harrison would also be closed between 3rd and 4th Streets.

By 6 a.m. Saturday, July 26, Brady Stret will be closed from River Drive to 4th Street, Pershing Avenue will close between 2nd and 4th streets, and 4th Street will also be closed between Main and Pershing.
