The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Best Buy sold and resold hundreds of products after they were recalled for safety issues.

The CPSC said the retailer sold or resold recalled Canon cameras, Coby televisions, SuperCube subwoofers, GE dishwashers, Gree dehumidifiers, Twist ‘n Sparkle carbonation systems, LG electric ranges and gas dryers, Sauder office chairs and Samsonite travel converters.

“It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product,” the CPSC website said.  “Federal law bars any person from selling products subject to a publicly-announced voluntary recall by a manufacturer or a mandatory recall ordered by the commission.”

The items had been recalled in 2012 and 2013 for hazards including fire, burn, shock, expelled parts, falls and skin irritation according to an online post by the CPSC.

“(T)en different recalled products continued to be sold by Best Buy, Magnolia stores and liquidators Best Buy Private Auction, CowBoom and TechLiquidators nationwide and online at bestbuy.com,” the CPSC reported.

“This involves about 200 units of the recalled products and an undetermined number of recalled Canon cameras,” the post said.

If you have one of the recalled items, the CPSC advised you to stop using it immediately and recall the firm that issued the recall for a remedy.  These are the recalled items allegedly being sold and resold:
