The American Red Cross of the Quad Cities Area will assess its flood relief efforts on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in front of the Bi-State Regional Commission.

The Red Cross had to send trucks out to the Watertown area after flash flooding from July 1, 2014. Water filled basements in the area, and people spent the next two weeks cleaning up. Since then, the Red Cross has handed out clean up kits in that area, Pleasant Valley, and Muscatine.

Wednesday morning, Pratt told us her crews did a good job responding to the Watertown area this year. However, she believes her group could have done a better job of coordinating volunteers earlier in the preparations.
