Fourth Ward Alderman Dick Brown resigned, effective immediately, from his position on the Moline City Council.

Brown was appointed to the 4th Ward seat in February 2013, after Ted Ronk resigned the seat to retire and relocate.

Moline Mayor Scott Raes announced Brown’s resignation Wednesday, July 23, 2014.  Brown reportedly resigned because he was relocating outside his district.

Brown’s resignation leaves Raes to again appoint someone to represent Moline’s 4th Ward.

“While the 4th Ward Alderman position is vacant, residents may contact the Alderman At-Large, Stephani Acri,” said a statement on the city’s website.  Acri’s phone number was listed on the city website as (309) 797-9059 and her email was listed as sacri@moline.il.us.
