A Davenport man faced criminal charges after his daughter allegedly robbed a local bank.
The U.S. Bank branch at 4004 Northwest Boulevard, was reportedly robbed just before noon Friday, July 11, 2014. The suspect was described then as a woman or a man dressed as a woman, about 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighing approximately 270 pounds.
Mercedes Griebe, 22, of Des Moines, was identified as the robbery suspect; she was arrested in Des Moines at about 3 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 according to a spokesman for the Davenport Police Department.
Two days later, her father was arrested in connection with the robbery.
Albert Griebe, 45, was arrested in Davenport just after 2 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 according to police. He was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree theft and compounding a felony.
Jail records showed Albert Griebe was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $20,500 bond.
