New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be in the Quad Cities on Thursday, July 17, 2014.

Christie is attending a fundraiser for Iowa Governor Terry Branstad, who is running for re-election against State Senator Jack Hatch. Christie is also Chairman of the Republican Governor's Association. Christie is taking heat from a strong conservative group, that believes he picked the wrong judges for the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Experts believe that Christie could run for President in 2016 on the Republican ticket. The Iowa Caucuses are the first clear state results that candidates get when they're running for president. The 2016 Caucuses have not been set yet. However, they will likely be in the early part of the year.

Governor Christie and Governor Branstad will be at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds Thursday around 6:15 p.m. The doors to the Starlight Ballroom open at 5 p.m. The event costs $25 to attend.
