The American Red Cross offered free clean-up kits to people affected by flooding in Moline and on Campbell’s Island.
The Mississippi River was continuing to recede after flooding that began the week before Independence Day.
The Red Cross typically requires identification, to demonstrate residency in a flood-affected area, from those who pick up flood clean-up kits.
Clean-up kits will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at the American Red Cross office at 1100 River Drive in Moline. Kits will also be distributed at the Campbell Island Fire Station, on Island Avenue, from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014.
