One person was inside a house when fire and explosions happened there in Princeton, Iowa.

The fire was reported at a home in the 400 block of Lost Grove Road at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014.

The location is near Virgil Grissom Elementary School in Princeton, but classes were not in session and firefighters said there was no one at the school.

A woman was inside the house at the time of the fire.  She escaped the burning home and was getting medical treatment from paramedics on the scene.

Fire had engulfed the house before firefighters arrived.  One firefighter said four personal-use oxygen tanks exploded as the house burned.  The house and a nearby shed were destroyed.

Firefighters from Princeton, LeClaire, McCausland and Riverdale fire departments worked the blaze.

The fire was knocked down but continued to burn just after 2 p.m.
