Harman leads after third round, Stricker closely follows

After two eagles in a 6-under 65 in round three, Brian Harman took the lead of the John Deere Classic.

After two eagles in a 6-under 65 in round three, Brian Harman took the lead of the John Deere Classic.

Stats on PGA.com show that the Georgia-native golfer took the lead Saturday, July 12 at the 2014 tournament at Deere Run in Silvis. He stood in the lead at 196 strokes.

Following closely behind is three-time winner Steve Stricker who was at a 7-under 64 after Saturday’s round. In third is Scott Brown with a 10-under 61 from the third round.

2012 champion Zach Johnson was tied for fourth after hitting a 69 in round three. Fourth place was at 199 strokes. The 2013 champion, Jordan Spieth, who was 19 at the time of his victory, was tied in 14th place.

Harman and Stricker tee off Sunday for round four at 12:45 p.m. Spieth tees off at 11:42 a.m. with David Toms. Zach Johnson and Jhonattan Vegas tee off at 12:18 p.m.
