Police were continuing their search for a person of interest in the alleged robbery of the Davenport U.S. Bank.

A woman, or a man dressed as a woman, allegedly robbed a branch of U.S. bank on Northwest Boulevard in Davenport.

The robbery was reported at noon Friday, July 11, 2014 at the bank at 4004 Northwest Boulevard. Police issued new photos Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in their search for a person of interest.

Police said the robber handed the teller a note, demanding money.  No weapon was displayed.  The robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Initial information indicated the suspect was a woman; but police later determined the suspect might actually be a man, dressed as a woman.

The robbery suspect was initially described as about 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighing approximately 270 pounds.  The suspect reportedly had gold-capped teeth, hair pulled back in a ponytail, and was wearing a pink hat and gray t-shirt.

There were unconfirmed reports that the suspect may have first gone to the bank about an hour before the robbery happened.

No injuries were reported.
