Will McGirt topped the leaderboard after two days of play at the John Deere Classic.

Will McGirt topped the leaderboard after two days of play at the John Deere Classic.

McGirt shot an opening round 66, and started his second day of play on the back nine at Deere Run.  He birdied his first three holes, and added four more in the round to finish 7-under at 64.  He topped the leaderboard after the second day at 12-under.

Steven Bowditch opened his round with an eagle, and he just missed a six-footer for birdie on 5, where he tapped in for par.  Bowditch carded a second-round 67 and was 11-under.

Brian Harman was back with his regular caddie after illness forced a temporary switch halfway through the first round.  Harman continued to play well, rolling in a four-foot birdie put on the par-5 second hole.  He also finished at 11-under.

Johnson Wagner also finished near the top after reaching the Par-5 2nd hole in two strokes.  Wagner rolled in a putt of just under seven feet for eagle.  He had five birdies and one bogey on his way to a 65 for the day, finishing at 11-under.
