Illini well represented at Deere Run, including Points and Guthrie

The blue and orange were well represented on Illini Day at the John Deere Classic.

Pekin native D.A. Points struggled once again at Deere Run, missing the cut at 4 over after 36 holes.

Despite an early wardrobe malfunction, it was a much better day for Luke Guthrie, who stuck the approach on 8 from 144 yards out to land just two feet from the cup.  He also eagled 18.  Guthrie’s second straight round of 69 made the cut as he finished by a total of 4 under.
