The American Red Cross in the Quad City area will have two different locations where people can get a clean up kit on Friday, July 11, 2014. The clean up kits are for people who had flooding in their homes.

The Red Cross has already been in the Watertown area after rainwater affected that area on July 1, 2014. Some homes on that street had to be evacuated.

Friday, the Red Cross will offer clean up kits and bottled water in Pleasant Valley, at the corner of Harbor and 245th Avenue. That station will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

The Red Cross will also offer clean up kits at its Muscatine office Friday, at 1502 Plaza Place. That station will be open from noon until 3 p.m.

The American Red Cross will not turn anyone away if they had legitimate flooding in their homes. The kits can be for anyone in Iowa or Illinois. The Red Cross asks that you bring a photo ID or driver's license with you. The clean up kits involve bleach, soap, buckets, and a mop.
