Truckers Jamboree kicks off in Walcott

The 35th annual Truckers Jamboree kicked off in Walcott, Iowa.

All weekend long, visitors can enjoy an Iowa pork chop, a super truck beauty contest and live entertainment.  Events include the trucker Olumpics, games for the kids and more than 175 exhibits.

The I-80 Truckstop celebrates their 50th anniversary, as part of the jamboree, Friday, July 11.

More than 40,000 visitors were expected to attend the 2014 jamboree.

The annual Truckers Jamboree is at the I-80 Truckstop in Walcott for three days from July 10 to 12, 2014.  For more information about the jamboree, click here.
