A nationwide manhunt was underway for a Rockford man wanted in connection with two murders, including the death of a woman whose body was found at a rest stop along Interstate 39.

An attendant found the body of 44-year-old Tonya Bargman, of Monticello, Illinois, at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Willow Creek Rest stop, which is about 16 miles north of LaSalle on I-39 at mile marker 84.  State Police said surveillance video showed Bargman was attacked by a man as she left the ladies room at the rest stop.

Police say 36-year-old Terence Doddy of Rockford, Illinois, is the suspect in Bargman’s death.  Doddy was reportedly seen leaving the rest area in Bargman’s car, a gray 2013 Nissan Altima with Illinois license plate BARGMN2.

Doddy was also wanted by Rockford Police for the murder of 37-year-old Todd Hansmeier, that happened at the QVSM call center, June 30, 2014.

Anyone with information about Doddy should call 911 or Illinois State Police at (815) 632-4010.
