Rock Falls men accused of attempted murder with a vehicle

Sterling Police were searching for two men from Rock Falls, who were wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a man fighting for his life.

Sterling Police were searching for two men from Rock Falls, who were wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a man fighting for his life.

Jacob Carr, of Sterling, was unresponsive when he was found in the 300 block of West 5th Street just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014.  Police said he had been struck by a vehicle sometime in the hour before he was found.   He was so incapacitated that a family member had to identify him, and Carr was hospitalized in intensive care after he was found.

Police identified Jordan Johnson and Dayton Hicks, both of Rock Falls, as suspects in the hit-and-run of Jacob Carr.  Johnson and Hicks remained at large Wednesday afternoon, July 2, 2014.
