Volunteers spent a late night moving animals to higher ground when water from heavy rain got into an animal shelter in Moline.

Volunteers spent a late night moving animals to higher ground when water from heavy rain got into an animal shelter in Moline.

The Animal Aid shelter at 239 50th Street was one of many local buildings inundated with water from record rainfall June 30, 2014.

Volunteers were forced to move animals, and everyone was moved safely.
