A toddler who had been reported missing died after she was found face down in a water-filled ditch west of Des Moines.
Iowa State Patrol said that two-year-old Deja Ramynke disappeared while she was playing in her yard as a family member worked nearby Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014, according to a report by WHO. Thirty minutes after her disappearance, she was found in a ditch about 100-yards from her Dallas County home.
She was flown to a Des Moines hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to WHO.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
