Trucks waiting to be filled with donations were on site at several Hy-Vee stores around the QC. Donations benefited survivors of domestic violence.

On Saturday, June 21, 2014 trucks were filled with items to support women and children who have found safety with SafePath Survivor Resources of Family Resources Domestic Violence Sheltering and Housing services in the QC and Muscatine.

Donations included kitchen and bath items, cleaning supplies, bed and bath linens, toiletries, gift cards, and anything else to help these survivors get back on their feet.

“All that stuff adds up and when you’re on a limited income or you’ve experienced a violent situation,” said Nicole Cisne Durbin with Family Resources.

If you missed the trucks Saturday morning, you can still donate – click here.
