A boundary stretching across the area has been the focal point for showers and thunderstorms this morning and will continue to be through much of the day. Several pieces of energy riding along that boundary will triggers scattered thunderstorms throughout our Thursday. There should be enough breaks in between storms to allow for temperatures in the mid 80s. Dewpoints will remain in the low 70s making for another humid day. Severe weather will be limited today but isolated strong storms are possible with heavy rainfall, lightning and brief gusty winds being the main threats.
Our chance for showers and thunderstorms will linger into Friday morning. Finally by Friday afternoon skies partially clear making way for more sunshine with temperatures remaining in the mid 80s.
The Summer Solstice kicks in on Saturday and temperatures will be warm enough to prove it. Daytime highs will stay in the mid 80s through Sunday. Partly sunny skies are expected both days with chance for evening storms both nights.
