A Rock Falls man was charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to a vehicle.

According to Detective Sergeant Steve Hubbard, Sterling Police responded to a report that a vehicle had been set on fire around 2 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014.

Hubbard said that after an investigation, 26-year-old Joel M. Moore was arrested and charged with one count of arson. Moore was taken to the Whiteside County Jail.

There were no reported injuries.
