Traffic was heavily backed up westbound on I-74 east of the QC Airport.
A spokesperson from the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department said that a vehicle got into a construction zone near mile post 8, which was impacting the westbound lanes of I-74 near Coal Valley.
News 8 viewers said traffic was backed-up and slow-going before 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2014.
Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department said police were on scene to resolve the situation.
