Assumption Soccer Moves on to State Title Game

Assumption girls’ soccer is heading to the State Title game after a 2-0 win over Heelan.

The score at the Friday, June 13, 2014 game in Des Moines was 0-0 for the majority of the first half. With eight minutes left in the first, Rose Ripslinger scored, getting the Lady Knights on the board at 1-0.

In the second half, Maddie Irmen boosted the score again, keeping the Lady Knights ahead and leaving the game with a final score of 2-0.

Assumption plays again Saturday, June 14 for the Class 1A Championship at 11 a.m. The Lady Knights will be going for their fourth-straight soccer championship.
