An absolutely spectacular day to end the work week will extend overnight into Saturday before the next round of storm weather moves in.
The Canadian surface ridge sitting right on top of us will provide another cool night as the mercury will slip back down into the lower 50s. The core of this ridge will crawl just to the east of us blowing our winds more out of the south. This should quickly warm our temperatures just over 80 degrees by Saturday afternoon.
If you have outdoor plans with good ole’ dad on Sunday, may I suggest an option for any indoor plans. A system will be pulling in form the west, carrying a round of some scattered showers and thunderstorms likely during the afternoon hours. We’ll need to keep an eye on a couple of these storms as one of two of them could have some large hail or strong, intense winds coming down from the storm.
As we start the brand new week, quieter skies will prevail as some very warm and muggy conditions settle in across the area. Starting Tuesday is where this tropical air will be accompanied by a day-by-day chance of showers and thunderstorms.
