Their mom was full of life, and they wanted her funeral to reflect that.
So, when Miriam Burbank’s daughters were tasked with planning her funeral services, they worked with funeral home directors to find a way to really remember Burbank’s life.
There would be no laying down in a casket. Miriam Burbank, whose daughters call her Mae Mae, would be sitting at a table with all the comforts of home, including a beer and a menthol cigarette.
Burbank’s daughters, and her family, seemed to enjoy the farewell ceremony according to our sister station WGNO.
