A nationwide exhibit, which features artwork depicting the journey people face when confronted by cancer, has landed in the QC.

Lilly Oncology on Canvas was set to be on display June 12 – 26 at the Genesis Cancer Care Institute.

The artwork featured includes pieces from the Lilly Oncology on Canvas competition. It was launched in 2004, and has since received more than 4,100 entries.

“It’s just supposed to be kind of an inspirational means for somebody to express how they’re feeling about their cancer and their survivorship, because many of them are survivors at this point,” said Registered Nurse Kim Turner.

This is the second time the exhibit has been in the Quad Cities in the last five years.
