Divers were searching the water after a car reportedly went into the Mississippi River at the Marquette Street Boat Landing in Davenport, Iowa.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman drive a car into the water at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014.  Initial reports indicated the woman was the only occupant of the car.

Rescuers said they found the car, but no people, in the river.  The woman was not accounted for as of 10:30 a.m. Monday, and a dive team was searching the water.

Clothing and other personal items, believed to have been in the car, were also found along the shore.

Police at the scene later said they believed the driver was a teenage girl, and that she was found and was not hurt.
