A man kept his longtime promise to his father and got him a ’57 Chevy for his 57th birthday.
As an 8-year-old child, Mike King told his dad, Roger King, that he would buy him a ’57 Chevy Bel Air on his 57th birthday, reported New York Daily News. To his father’s surprise, Mike kept his word.
To pull-off the surprise Mike distracted his father by making him believe something needed fixing. Secretly, the garage door was opened to reveal the car. When Roger didn’t immediately notice the garage door had been opened, Mike’s sister gestured toward the garage.
“Happy birthday,” Mike said.
Upon discovering his dream car, Roger shed a few tears and hugged him.
