Figure skaters from all over the Midwest competed in the QC at an annual competition.

Over the weekend, June 6, 7, and 8, 2014 the 18th Annual Quad City Championships was held at the River’s Edge in Davenport.

There were 130 participants competing in 93 different events over the three days. To help evaluate the performances, there were 19 judges from all over the country

“You have to really want to do it,” said competitor Crista Stovers. “[To] land all your jumps you have to really want to land everything and you just can't really be nervous.”

The Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities organized the competition.
