Illinois’ recent legalization of same-sex marriage has Quad Citians celebrating at the annual QC Pridefest.
The 7th annual festival was set to run Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8 in Davenport.

“This is an event for everybody,” said program coordinator, Allen Birtsche. “We like to think of this as an event where the LGBT community of the Quad Cities celebrates everyone in the Quad Cities and so we invite everyone to come down, experience the festival, have a good time.”
Admission was set at $5 per person and $1 from each entry fee could be donated to a variety of charities, of the attendees choosing.
