After a man suffering multiple stab wounds showed up at a Muscatine hospital, police were trying to piece together where the stabbing happened and who might have done it.

Juan Carlos Rodriguez-Rivera, 31, had multiple stab wounds when he walked into the emergency room at Trinity Hospital in Muscatine at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 according to Muscatine Police Lt. Tim Hull.

Rodriguez-Rivera was later transferred to a different hospital.

Hull said investigators were asking for help from the public as they worked to determine where the stabbing happened and the identity of the suspect or suspects involved.
